About Us
Our Story
Barakat Zu Segnen is a luxury fashion house founded in Zürich, Switzerland, dedicated to creating handcrafted garments and accessories that bring together Swiss precision and alpine artistry. The name Barakat means "blessing," and Zu Segnen translates from German as "to bless" — together they capture our mission: that those who can afford to wear our pieces partner with us to bless the communities of the artisans who create them. What began as a social impact project managed out of Zürich in 2020 has grown into a sustainable enterprise providing lasting finance for the ateliers we work with, while nurturing an alpine heritage legacy as it meets contemporary elegance.
Our collections — from hand-embroidered business shirts and edelweiss pants to velvet stoles adorned with Zardozi celestial motifs — are designed for discerning individuals who value craftsmanship, traceability, and purpose. Each garment is cut from the finest Egyptian cotton and European silks, with every collar shaped by hand and every motif embroidered using techniques passed down through four generations of artisans. A single velvet stole requires over sixty hours of hand embroidery, while each pair of edelweiss pants demands more than forty hours of meticulous needlework.
Barakat Zu Segnen is built and operated by Remnant Asset Management AG, based in Zürich. Our ateliers are located in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where skilled artisans practise Zardozi and traditional hand-embroidery techniques that have been refined over centuries. Every material — from cotton to metallic thread — is traceable, and every purchase directly supports the craftspersons and their immediate communities, furthering our mission of social impact through sustainable, ethical luxury.
